How to play BeIntelligent online

BeIntelligent is a browser quiz board for 2 to 12 players. Categories run across, values run down. A player picks a cell, everyone sees the question at the same moment, and the first to hit the buzzer answers. Right, and the value goes on your score; wrong, and the same amount comes off and the turn moves on. In the final round everyone bets as much as they dare. No download, no sign-up.

  1. Create a room and pick a pack

Hit “Create room”, get a code and choose a question pack — official, community-made or one of your own.

  2. Invite friends with a link

Paste the link into a chat. Two can play, but three to six is best — that is where the race for the buzzer becomes a real contest.

  3. Pick a cell and hit the buzzer

Whoever has the turn names a category and a value. The question appears for everyone at once, and from there it is speed: first to buzz gets the answer.

  4. Reach the final and place your bet

The final round announces a topic, everyone secretly stakes part of their score and writes an answer. One question can turn the whole board over.

Rules, rounds and question types

The format is familiar; the details — how many rounds, how the buzzer resolves, what a wrong answer costs — are lobby settings.

The board
Categories and values. The dearer the cell, the harder the question — and the more a mistake hurts, because the same amount comes off.
The buzzer
First press answers. Buzzing before the question finishes locks you out for a couple of seconds — too early is as bad as too late.
A wrong answer
Minus the value, and the chance passes to everyone else. Staying quiet is sometimes worth more than guessing.
Cat in the bag
A cell you must hand to another player. They have to answer — and to risk the amount you assigned them.
Auction question
The value is bid for: the highest bidder answers, alone with the question.
The final round
One topic, secret stakes, one written answer. You can come back from last place, or lose everything.
Your own packs
The editor is built in: assemble topics for your own group, with images and sound, and share them in the catalogue.
Community catalogue
Ready-made packs from other players, from general knowledge to very specific ground like TV shows or memes.

BeIntelligent — frequently asked questions

How many players do you need?

Between 2 and 12. Two makes a duel of general knowledge; three to six is the classic shape, where fighting for the buzzer is half the fun.

Do I need to download anything or sign up?

No. It runs in the browser on desktop and mobile. A guest can create a room with no account — signing in is for saving your own question packs.

Is it free?

Yes. Tokens for play time are granted daily and a short ad tops them up. A subscription removes ads and raises the room’s player limit.

Can I build my own question pack?

Yes, the editor is built in: rounds, categories, values, images and sound. Keep the pack private or publish it to the catalogue.

Who hosts the game?

Nobody has to. Questions, the timer, the buzzer and the scoring are automatic. If you prefer, one player can take the host’s seat and adjudicate close answers.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes. The board, the buzzer and the answer field are built for a mobile browser, and on a call it works well to share the board on one screen.

What languages are the questions in?

Packs exist in English and Russian, and the question language is chosen separately from the interface language — so you can read one and play in the other.
